SILVER

When we first started creating jewelry, the production and sale of silver pieces in Russia were not yet as tightly regulated as they are today. Manufacturers face nearly identical requirements regardless of whether the final piece cost a few hundred rubles or many times more. The only real difference is hallmarking: silver isn’t required to be stamped by the Assay Chamber. Precious metal are tested directly at the foundry where it is cast into jewelry. Still, the hallmark exists in another sense - it defines the quality of the alloy itself, its composition and character, not just the tiny stamp on the surface.
Sterling silver is a unique alloy of 92.5% pure silver, 7.5% copper and other metals. These additions give the metal what pure silver lacks - strength, resilience, and protection against oxidation. That's why sterling silver carries such a distinctive, cool, almost icy shine.
Jewelry made of 100% silver is too soft for everyday life. It bends, scratches, and darkens quickly. Sterling silver, on the other hand, is strong enough to be worn daily, easy to polish, and capable of keeping its shine for years - bright, elegant, and lasting.
And here's something especially important - particularly for earrings - sterling silver rarely causes allergies.
Of course, silver jewelry has far greater value (though not always a higher price) than costume jewelry coated with artificial shine. At first glance they may look alike, but time tells the truth. Plating cracks, flakes, or rubs off, exposing base metal that can stain your skin. Sterling silver is different - it can always be polished back to the mirror-like glow of the very first day. Costume jewelry cannot - once the coating wears off, it's gone for good.
What is sterling silver?
That is why we chose to create our pieces from sterling silver, rather than from base metal alloys. It may have spared us some of the complexities of strict state regulation, but our mission was never just to make pretty accessories. We wanted to craft jewelry that is safe, enduring, and truly beautiful.
Because sterling silver is a precious metal. And jewelry, as we believe, should always be treasures - not trinkets.
